WELL! So much has happened since I last wrote. Most significantly, I moved house. I'm now living with Janet and part-time Adrian in Wollstonecraft. And I am now saving 1.5 hours EVERY DAY on commuting to/from work. Yay! So this free time can be spent meditating or doing yoga or, just as importantly, sleeping in!
Aside from that, on Thursday Swaycicle came to Sydney and we had Thai followed by sticky date pudding followed by Martha Wainwright at the Opera House. Happy birthday Swaycicle!
On Friday I started work late after a morning massage (with the blessings of my boss who says she thinks I deserve a big bonus!).
On Saturday I went to an auction in Carlton. I didn't want to buy the property, just to see how much it went for. The highlight of the trip was buying a salad sandwich at the local corner store afterwards. It cost $2.50. That's TWO DOLLARS, FIFTY! Such a cheap salad sandwich is UNHEARD of in my world. So it is confirmed: I want to live in Carlton, where I might just be able to afford a patch of garden and they also happen to do cheap salad sandwiches.
On Saturday night I went to an impromptu North Shore Satsang with Nitya, Marlo, Holly and Gopika, where we chanted and talked about Bob Coe's flair for feng shui and his new discovery of fractal therapy which makes him look YEARS younger (apparently) which is probably a good thing, given the ghosts and what not that he has to clear from houses (apparently). Nobody wanted my mint slice biscuits so I got to bring them back home and have them all to myself.
On Sunday I emailed Bob Coe to ask him what feng shui tips he could give me for buying a property.
On Monday night I went to Moonlight Cinema in Centennial Park with Poojya where we took turns in sheltering each other from light rain under a big umbrella while we ate simple but delicious food before the rain passed and we watched the David Suzuki documentary "Force of Nature" under a clear sky. It was nice to sit and eat and watch with Poojya, who is the essence of exterior calm even if inside she doesn't always feel that way.
And today, summer was over. Just like that...
And today I also see that I have a new follower! Welcome to Number Nine, Marlobee, my modern-day Swamini, alms recipient and general do-gooder (where that is a good thing). The sort of person who'd be an exemplary documentary subject.
And when I've settled into my new abode a little more, I will make my way out to find some nice photos to share with my blogsters.
Have a good week and feel the love I wish you xx
