Linda J on Bettys, beans and bovines.

Hellooodie dooodie!

I don't really want to prattle on about what I've been doing.  Ah, what the heck.  This is what I've been doing:

  • Went to Betty's with Mary and took a picture of her glowing in her blue top but I can't download it for you because I left my camera at work today because my boss said after our meeting in North Sydney that I should just go home as it was 4pm and by the time we got back to work it would be nearly home time and I was so close to home already anyway.
  • Went to Canbra to meet more pollies in suits and discovered that baked beans is not a good idea before meetings which I'm nervous about...  I also met a man from the Australian Sex Party, and he bought me a hot chocolate.  I still don't know that the Sex Party platform is, but I didn't ask him for fear of appearing ignorant about politics, which I certainly am as I find it mind-numbingly boring and stupid.
  • Had my big sister Fhruit come to stay for a night - this actually deserves more than a bullet point, but it's important that I have 3 bullet points for this post.  After I picked her up from the airport she had to sit in my car for 17 hours as we made our way along Parramatta Road to my parents' place, but when we got there it was really nice to hang out together eating dad's home-made muffins, drinking tea, talking about $300 pillows and eating childhood comfort food like mum's "Fish Dish."  Fhruit was on her way to In Zid for work where she will talk to the Kiwis about what steers are.  For you city folk, they're a male bovine which has been castrated.  Ouch.
And so - why the three bullet points?  Because I've decided to become a self-educated magazine cover editor.  I don't think this will be too difficult.  I have noticed that lazy editors with no imagination will fill the front covers of magazines by just mentioning 3 things that their cover celebrity talks about in their interview.  For example, I have recently seen on the front of magazines:
  • "Anna Bligh - on leadership, love and looking after mum."
  • "Jennifer Anniston - babies, dating and my exes."
  • "Reese Witherspoon - on love, second chances and fighting domestic violence."
Geez.  Get with times.  I bet the Anna Bligh cover editor got extra points for a little alliteration.

So with three easy bullet points I've made it simple to approach my first attempt at a sensational, eye-catching, buy-this-and-read-me kinda heading.  Check out the alliteration!!
