You will not believe what I did this morning. For three hours I walked the streets of the suburb I want to live in and put flyers in post-boxes of small houses that might be within my budget, saying basically "If you want to sell your house and if it has at least 2 bedrooms and a little garden, call me." HA! Never thought I'd do such a thing. I heard a property market guru recommend it on TV some time ago, and I never considered doing it till this morning. It makes sense, because its such an easy option for the vendor, and they don't have to pay real estate agent fees. 250 pamphlets I delivered. Some of them were in houses that will surely be outside of my budget, and I could just imagine people reading the flyer and saying "tell her she's dreaming," a la The Castle. But who knows, perhaps if their house doesn't fit the bill they will know someone in the neighbourhood whose does. I think I've put flyers in about the quarter of the places I need to... Hopefully I'll get round to doing the rest some day.
After that hot hot hot (and not the saucy kind of hot) walk, I came home for a swim. Honestly - I just can't tell you how wonderful it is to have a beach right outside your front door.
Then an afternoon nap before going to that excellent new yoga class in Crows Nest with the "by and by" teacher. He didn't say it tonight.
Marlo was supposed to be at the yoga class tonight, but she got the time wrong so she was too late for it. In Team Marlo and Linda, Marlo is the intuitive party and Linda is the organised party. I'm sometimes a bit jealous because it can be boring to be organised. Anyway, she waited for me to finish the yoga class and then she watched me eat some quesadillas for dinner. Then we drove down to Blues Point Reserve, overlooking the harbour, where we chatted and she did some yoga as the sky turned from blue to pink to hot pink. These photos are from my iPhone so the quality ain't so good.
Have a great week evrybiddy xxxxx

Linda,
ReplyDeleteyour blog is so nice, I love it. Funny how you say you are not the creative intuitive one and then all the while you are disproving this by doing lovely intuitive, creative generous actions.
And by the way I am also boring and practical at times! However I do really appreciate your excellent time management skills, they are my saving grace. xxx
Marlo
