Hark, the herald angels ting ting!

On Christmas day, I was up before sparrow fart, as they say.  I woke at 2am, all bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready to get into it...  I was excited about doing yoga when I got out of bed in the morning - go figure??  And I guess my 11 hour sleep the night before probably had my energy reserves well stocked.  So I watched the sky turn from starry to bright, and I heard the first bird sing its Christmas song.  And, of course, the sparrows started farting.

Santa (aka Friendly Flattie) had left me a moon calendar and snow dome Christmas bauble with my name in it, which had me chuffed, even at my ripe old age.

A little later in the morning I popped out for an ocean swim at my local, along with some northern-hemisphere tourists who were taking photos of themselves in the ocean wearing Santa hats on Christmas day.  Ho ho no white Christmas here!

Then the ting ting of the iPhone started, with Merry Christmas SMSs flying around the globe...  Many ting tings from different people on Christmas day is always so heart warming!  Ting ting!

Then I did yoga and kind of lolled around and enjoyed being on holidays and had lunch.  Ting ting!

Then to the air(ting ting!)port to pick up my sister, the honourable Shechog.  Tip for Sydney siders: drive anywhere you like in Sydney some time between lunch and dinner on Christmas day and the ride will be SWEEEET.  No cars.  Everybody is too busy eating to drive.  Ting ting!  Glorious.

Then off to mum and dad's before dinner at Aunty Beth's.

Mum on Christmas day

Dad on Christmas day

Quite civillized in food consumption this year, except for the speed at which I ate...  Always the first to clear the plate...

Stayed at mum and dad's on boxing day, and came across one of dad's books on food combining.  I'm gonna give it a go, I think, to see if I feel any different for it.  Will mean a few small dietary changes, but I needn't be totally religious about it, right?  It does also mention the need to eat relatively slowly, but we'll just see about that.

On boxing day we went for a bit of a stroll around Parramatta Lake, after the rain stopped:

Anyway, from me to you, ting ting!
