Hello bloggies! All sorts of things have happened, including me finding the exclamation mark so heres an exclamation for you!!!!!!!!!!!
We stopped our mini bus one day and our guide approached some nomads and asked if we could have mint tea with them. They lived in camel wool tents which can easily be dismantled when they move on with their flocks of sheep. They also had very happy donkeys and dogs and one cow. Their life is so simple and they are happy to have very few possessions (which would only weigh them down when they move). And their animals seemed very happy too.
Rode camels into the Sahara and camped for the night. We arrived just before sunset and climbed a dune to watch the sunset. Everyone else then went down to the camp, but I stayed on the dune for about an hour just enjoying this amazing planet we live on and feeling the cool breeze on my skin. I didnt know why someone would want to be playing cards with people when they could be lying on top of a dune marvelling at the sky and the earth.
Also had a Moroccan bath, where women sit in undies in hot rooms to wash themselves. We got scrubbed of all our top layer of skin by a lovely big woman there. She had 2 gold teeth and a tatoo on her chin. The tatoo marks her tribe and the number of children she has. At first I thought she was using a dirty scrubbing mit, but then I realised that the bits of stuff I was seeing were actually my dead skin cells coming off! Needless to say, we all felt smooth and squeaky clean for days.
My dad is older than I realised. His mind and body are slower and Ive never noticed how much like my nana he looks.
We are in a seaside town called Essouria and this afternoon we get a Moroccan massage. Then tomorrow afternoon we go to our final destination of Marrakech.
Love to you!!
