Hello blogsters! It feels like it's been a while... Busy busy.
So, the highlights since I last wrote...
I made some muffins for Margie Hurdle as my promise to make her something hand-made (I think baking counts). I'm firmly of the view that muffins were invented so we could justify having cake for breakfast. I applaud such inventiveness.
I went to Brisvegas for work which was fun - meeting two blokes who I've been speaking to on the phone for 6 months only to discover that they are both good lookers! Now I just have to find some of theses a bit closer to home... I stayed in Brisvegas to have dinner with my school-friend Julie, who I haven't seen for 20 years. This was definitely the highlight of the week - so nice to talk and talk and laugh and catch up. We agreed that there is something comforting about people who knew you well at school. Jules was the same but different. Same sense of humour, fun and sparkle, and same interest in the meaning of life. But her voice was a bit different and her face was more motherly (which is not surprising, given she is a mother). I hope it's not another 20 years before I see her again! I'm sure it won't be. Ah, ain't Facebook grand. Silly me forgot to take a photo.
This weekend is the FIVE DAY LONG WEEKEND for Easter and Anzac day what a joy! I moved into a house in Newtown that I am house-sitting for a couple of months. I'm looking forward to hanging out in my very own space and being close to the movies, cafes and other eateries of Newtown. A fave activity of mine is reading the weekend paper in a Newtown cafe, but I've not done it in far too long.
Lots of love to you all,
Linda
